Core Course

Omega Training Solutions' Core Course is a basic training skills course designed to fulfill the requirements mandated in JARs for those wishing to become qualified as a TRI/ SFI. It can be tailored to suit the particular requirements of our clients.

The programme is a demanding but rewarding 5 day course designed to introduce the concepts of how people learn and the variety of teaching skills required of the aviation trainer. It involves many opportunities to put the skills being discussed into practice, including a practical session in a flight simulator providing some valuable 'hands-on' practice of flight training.

It is run by Senior Training Captains with many years experience of Line, Base and Simulator training in a major European airline. They also have long experience of training those new to the very challenging environment of the aviation trainer.

It can be increased by 2 days to include the requirements for initial accreditation as a CRMI (Line/ Simulator). The additional time is used to develop an understanding of the requirements of CAP 737 and Standards Document 29. It also provides an introduction to Behavioural Marker systems such as NOTECHS and practice in their application as a trainer/ examiner.
