Captain Mike Lodge
Mike studied Modern languages at UCNW Bangor and at Tuebingen in Germany.
After completing his pilot training at the College of Air Training, Hamble he flew for 30 years with British Airways, operating several
Boeing types on both shorthaul and longhaul routes. He started in training as a co-pilot with Flight engineer examiner authority and
completed his career as a Base training and Standardisation Captain on B747s.
He was involved with delivering joint Flight crew/Cabin crew CRM courses at BA and latterly became the Project Pilot on three European
Commission-sponsored initiatives, perhaps the most signifcant being the NOTECHS project that was tasked to formulate an EU-wide structured
method for assessing effective flightcrew behaviour.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a keen General Aviation pilot owning and flying a rare vintage Stinson 105.
As one of the Directors of Omega Training Solutions his principal responsibities are in the latest 'Human Factors' research and liaison with
the academics conducting the research.
