POST INCIDENT/ACCIDENT TRAINING

After an incident or an accident those involved are often sent back for further training. In most cases this can be very frustrating as the person involved in the incident knew what to do but still managed to make the mistake.

As further technical training is not required the session can end up with 'don't do that again' approach. The real non-technical reason behind the incident is never discussed.

Omega Training Solutions offer training for those involved in post incident/accident debriefs in the skill of helping the person involved identify and take ownership of the non-technical reason behind the error. Looking at the error within the framework of Safety In Mind they can then help them recognise some tools and/or strategies they can employ in future to help prevent a similar incident.
