HUMAN FACTORS AUDIT

As aviation discovered a safety culture of an organisation depends more than laying down procedures and introducing technological innovations. For a safety culture to be effective it should permeate all parts of the organization from the top to the bottom.

A Human Factors Audit is essential to find out what is actually happening in an organization as opposed to what should be happening. Through OTS conducting a Human Factors Audit of an organisation we can establish where good human factors practice is in place or where changes might be required.

By interviewing your operators and examining their attitudes to key safety related issues we can establish the safety culture in the organisation. We can then make recommendations where training or other organisational changes may be beneficial.
